    Fuel gauge issue

So I have a 91 se. I got a new instrument cluster because my heat gauge was bad. I have been driving for about 2000 miles on the new gauge (used) all was good.

I pulled it out to swap in my old odometer and old electronic boards so I could have my ABS light. So I put all my old guts on the new gauges. All is fine but the fuel gauge wants to peg full.

Next I looked for crossed items on the electronics board nothing.

Then I put back on the electronic boards that the gauges came with. fuel gauge still pegging full.

I did I some how kill this fuel gauge? or am I missing something?
I dont see my float going bad at the time of doing this, that would be a weird coincidence.

Most likely cause over tightening screws. Dang... maybe it can be solder.

Edit: Seems it can be solder DIY going up soon.
