Thanx I don't think I need the breaker...I'm not running subs or anything I just don't want it under my hood lol but I get it now not to hard at all

^^^ I can tell you from experience why this is a good mod. A year ago some douche bag broke into my car. My car had an alarm, so he pryed up the passenger side of my hood, slid in a pry bar and disconnected the ground cable so the alarm wouldn't go off and take his time stealing my radio and tools from my trunk.

A breaker/fuse is to protect the wire. You don't "need" it .. But if you don't like fire you should add one.

Just get a battery box from walmart, etc. It's your best bet and safe. It comes with a way to screw the box down. There's tons of info on the site on how to do this and how to run the power wire, some do it different than others in regards to distribution blocks and wire size. Be sure to use wire loom, proper grounds, a in-line fuse/breaker, and do lots of research (search the site) as you will have more questions as you go along. My relocation is on my MRT if it helps and feel free to PM me if that helps too.

that does not explain why every one else does it . i wont to know why people really do it . to me its a waste of time .

I did it to help clean up my engine bay and to help with weight distribution (every little bit helps). I guess if you are not into having a clean engine bay this mod may not be for you. Cheers

Why would it cause problems? As long as you have a good battery box or better yet an agm battery it only has benefits. It looks good and helps with weight distribution. There was an artical on ht I believe and someone took a bunch of weight measurements with different battery locations in his civic. Apparently the best places for it is behind the passenger seat haha.

Hmmm, having a background knowledge in electricity helps in doing these modifications. Personally for my battery relocation and fusebox re-location I researched. Besides having prior knowledge in wiring, I searched this site and others for every piece of reading material I could find on how to properly perform these modifications. I researched and bookmarked every site, pages on top issues I cannot currently foresee, proper connection methods, safety and hazard prevention, and collected lots of photos, etc. After a month of reading, researching, buying supplies, and planning the process, I did it. If I got stuck, I researched. If still stuck I would ask in here (provided I have "done my homework"). Thanks cb7tuner. I triple checked my work and followed up with inspections.
