    Clifford alarm system is mute

I woke up today and the alarm system worked and made that alarm sound it makes. I then went to get some gas and noticed the alarm light stayed on and would not turn off unless i had the key in the on position. I just checked the fuses and they are not blown. Lights blink and all but no sound and if i try to start the car with the alarm on it starts which is not good. I have a DVOM/DMM but im not sure where to start checking first. Thanks

It's not in valet mode by chance is it? Just a suggestion... I turned my valet mode on by mistake one day when I armed it and the light stayed on 'til my key was turned to the on position.
4000watts just so all the haters hear me comin!

On my Crime Guard, I just press the valey button once and it gets out of valey mode and if you have a 2 way pager, then the word valey is gone from the pager.
          Look into your manual.
          Try this.

            On the Clifford:

Put the key in, turn to On (don't start the car).
Press the valet key the designated number of times (default is 1x).
Valet light should go from solid on to off.
            Turn key off.

            Alarm should work normally now.

Where is this valet key ? Im really not sure i thought it was the * looking one on the remote but nothing is happening.

Whenever my key is ON but car is not running the light goes out but once i take the key completely out it goes back on and stays on.

What he means is the valey button not key. There's no valey key. When you had the alarm installed, did the installer tell you have time to press the valey button?
Look for the button by the hood release. I have seen lots of installers put it there. It should be a push botton.

I bought the car with the alarm on. Ill look for that button. Ill follow the wires coming from the fuses. Ill check back if i find it or not.

If you don't have a valet button then you somehow entered valet mode with the remote only.
                      If so, try this procedure:
open the door, and then hit arm, wait one second, hit disarm, wait another second, and hit arm again

Bad Dude - I'm not a Spelling Nazi but its v-a-l-e-t. It's French
And yes, I meant button, not key. Sometimes the button is integrated into the LED, othertimes it is hidden under the dash or someplace similar.

All the computer has is a sensitivity button.

I guess this is what you guys are saying.

As you can see there is no button anymore and just what is left of it. I tried disconecting and connecting and the alarm goes on for about 3 seconds then shuts off. I tried crossing the valet button wires which is why the button was there in the first place and still nothing.

Maybe you could try to read off from the brain to see what model and we can try to pull the manual from the12V site.
H.M. V-a-l-e-y, just for you. Lol. How's it going with your install? Figure out how the wires run into the door yet?

Ill take a picture of the top of it when im on break again. The harness connecting to the computer did not want to come off and i didnt want to break it. It would some times just randomly go off then when i hit the button it will turn off and not nake a sound again. The one wire goes through the firewall to the speaker. Another wire runs to the LED which is next to my defrost button. The other one goes to where i showed you and there is a whole drilled behind the hood latch. As i was disconeting some of the wires the smallest ones seem to control the door locks but other than that i couldnt figure anything out. Also the speaker box has a whole in it which i realized yesterday but it still makes sound.

On the brain, can you see a two pin harness where the v-a-l-e-t button plugs in?

If so, you can find a new button, wire and connector on Amazon for about $8. Just unplug the old one, plug the new one in and you'd be functional again pretty quickly.
