Yeah, fix the wire, hook it up, and go over everything. If all that doesn't work, THEN come back and we can all go from there.

You may have caused more issues other than melted wires. My advice is don't even look at the car until you thoroughly examine the schematics.
Find out what the wire you melted was connected to. It's going to be a couple of things, not just a one shot deal. Make a checklist of everything and everywhere that is connected to the cluster and headlights as far as power & ground is concerned. If you have to, redraw the schematic connections on a piece of scrap paper so you'll have a clearer visual image. Most of all study that schematic. It's the only thing that you really have when debugging electrical issues.

Went out and took some pics. When I lift up my fuse box I have a ground wire which connects to a bolt below the fuse box. This was the one I suggested you check.

you have to, unless you cut it by mistake

if you check the haynes manual, which you are not doing, you can figure out which wire is power and which is ground, you can then trace them to the fuse box, once you locate them do a continuity test from the fusebox to the windows to check if there's any breaks and find what are you missing power or ground

when it comes to diagnosing on the web you can only do so much and 9/10 it was the owners fault, being that we dont know, what did you tuck/cut/hid/removed

dont post again "I'VECHECKED EVERYTHING" because you clearly have not, with this thread you have informed us, that you clearly do not know about electronics, let alone how to do a tuck

he doesnt, he didnt want to pay someone to do and thought trying to do it himself not knowing what he was getting into was a smart idea. And now he os here asking questions. No one is going to be able to completely diagnosis his problem with out being there to.see it with their own eyes.

Just so you know pr and champ. (not trying start anything for an on going arguement)

I have txt and talked to him about his situation as well

from what he has told me is that he had someone to do a wire previously on his when that person did they hacked up his wiring. When he is doing now is trying ro correct that other persons mistake.

What I do believe is that the other person may have done more damage then known, but it was OP luck that this happened in the process.

Now I have been helping out trying my best to figure out his situation or questions he has as well, but like you said champ without being there its hard to determine whats really wrong. I beleive that there is also a exposed positive line contacting metal in the cabin.

A missing ground would cause all sorts of weird things. Things would not work or something, or sometimes lights start glowing.

I hate fixing other peoples shit lol
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

You can always pick up an other fuse box at the junk yard that has the ground wire and then it will work

Are you talking about the wires coming out the front? One is the pos batt conection the other is the wire that goes to your alt......but like i said also if the black wires gone you should pick up a fuse box that has one and ground it out then you should be ok

info is necessary cloud, he could have stated this in the first post, don you think?

either way, someone that can read wiring schematics can figure this out, it doesnt take much
even staring at it for hours it WILL work

the first tuck i did with MY car, when i turned the left blinker, all my lights went off, and my horn would go off by itself
                            haynes saved my ass
