Are there radios, specifically combined AM/FM/Cassette/CD, from other Honda models or years that can be installed in a CB7 (or CB9) without modifying the electrical connector? I know a single CD player from the 94-97 Accords won't work with my stock radio, but would a 94-97 radio with proper CD player correctly interface with my plug? I'm searching for a single CD player for my CB9, but they're tough to find (following one on ebay). Just wondering what my other options are (for Honda equipment).

I've ran an intega radio, 1st gen cl radio., and a 96 civic radio. All the connectors through 98 should be the same. Also you can use a later one as I am doing now with a car side harness. I think the metra number is 71-1721 but don't quote me on that one..... used in conjunction with the normal harnes you wuld use to install an aftermarket deck you can build an adaptor harness to use a different honda unit.

I currently have an Acura Vigor head unit, and previously had a 1988-1990 Legend head unit with CD player. Like others have said, any Honda/Acura connector before 1998 will more than likely work.
My Legend CD player connected right up to my 1991 Accord head unit and surprisingly worked. Junkyard shopping is best; you have a wide selection of Legends and Accords.
The only problems with these non-stock radios is that they can't be anchored like the OEM radio. The reason I dumped my Legend radio was because, under had acceleration or on an incline, the radio would fall out!Original-Owner 1991 Honda Accord

Thanks for the info gentlemen. Managed to get the single CD player on ebay (lost the auction, but the winner was in Poland and didn't want to pay the shipping, so got second chance). Unfortunately, he doesn't have the bracket for radio/CD setup. Anyone have one sitting around?90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450
