grounding fogs on headlight harness

I'm redoing my wiring for my mazda fogs and im wondering if i can hook up the +12v to the fuse box and then take the ground and hook it to the factory ground for the headlights. That way they come on with the parking lights, but the parking lights dont actually have to power them, thus overloading the circuit. would it work and be safe?

The foglights ground to a bolt on the front of the radiator support from the factory
