    Woofer help

    Ok I picked up 2 12" woofers that are 4 ohm single voice coil (svc) and I'm just trying to figure out wich way to wire them, the whole OHM thing confuses me , I just want them to hit as hard as they can, please help.

    Yes, basic algebra can be quite perplexing...

    If you want them to "hit as hard as they can" then what you should do is drop them off the roof of a skyscraper, they'll hit pretty hard... granted you can only do it once.

    Wire them up in parallel... assuming you have a monoblock amp... seeing how you haven't said whether or not you even have an amp, or if you have a multi channel amp or anything, it's hard for me to give advice.

        that makes it easier. If it's two ohm stable, wire them in parallel and it will present a 2 ohm load on the amp. That will make the amp push more wattage. however, since I have no idea what subs or amp you will use, that may or may not be too much wattage for your subs.

            Nevermind, apparently there are two different Kole Trax 1800 amps...

            Do you know how to wire subs in parallel?

              If you're getting the Kole Trax 1800, I'd suggest the Trax1-1800, not the Trax2-1800
              Wire the subs for the 2 ohm load. You'll get 820 watts RMS which the subs should have no problem with either way.
