Antenna Motor Help!

So my antenna motor makes an extremely loud grinding sound every time it raises and lowers the mast. I am eventually going to shave it off but for now i was wondering how i disconnect the mast motor. Which wire do i remove or cut off?

hmmm well in my 91 i had noticed my antenna didnt rise or drop i removed the trunk panel and to mu suprise there was a white clip disconnected

so under that panel u will most likely see two white clips one goes to ur antenna motor. jus unplug it and there u go

From inside the trunk to your left pull back the side panel and pull off the connector.

will the antenna still be operational though? i still want reception i just dont want the motor itself to be operational

yep it will juss make sure the black cable that runs to ur stereo and plugs to ur antenna and ur set
