any tricks on how to keep cd from skipping?

im sure most of us have this problem because everyone i know with a dropped car has this same issue of cd skipping on every little bump. Does anyone have any tricks on how to keep this from happening? lol dont be sarcastic and say raise your car up

        Go digital.
Cd's are old school now, Get a Ipod or a headunit with usb input.

x2 on the better stereo and going digital.

          my cds rarely skip.

i have to hit a pretty big bump or a long series of small to meduim sized ones to make it skip.

Drop your car with the correct components? I would run fully laid out, (no suspension travel) with my 35 series tires, and NEVER skipped...

what are you dropped on. could be some REALLY stiff/crappy stuff causing it to skip but it's rare...

could be also that your headunit isn't mounted right and it's got play causing it to hit something on the inside and maybe causing it to skip?

X2, mount your stereo correctly, get better suspension components. These are the only factors that could be causing your problem. What are you dropped on?

Headunit age / maintenance is a factor too.
A dirty lens can cause a CD to skip.
My HU never used to skip, but 5 years later it skips every now and then, especially on rough roads, which is when I switch to my 6 disc stacker.

could be how its mounted, the original brackets on the side the bolts on to the frame werent there so i made my old bracket and secured it to tightly, maybe not tight enough? but im buying me the new nano and my brother gave me his new pioneer head unit so i guess the problem is solved
