so 4 the past 2 years my car has been randomly throwin the check engine light on and wont start. After waiting a few minutes it will start and run perfectly fine. Any ideas on a solution 2 fix this problem?

Unless the problem is fixed, or you've reset your ECU, the code should still be stored in the memory.
But, my guess would be the main relay, or the ignition output sensor (a white box under the steering column.)
