where do you guys recommend I get it? I was looking at ebay but theres so many different sizes that its confusing. I want to add the stuff to the whole car btw.

Dynamat Extreme i think it's called, it's like sheets of al-foil with tar-like glue on one side, and you just stick it on like a big sheet of duct tape

eBay is your best bet, get decent quality soundproofing fairly cheap

There's a DIY thread on soundproofing your car, search for it.. IIRC he lists some materials you could use

i have it in my trunk.... be careful, its heavy. thats all i can say since mine was on the car when i bought it...

Yeah it's definitely going to add some weight to the vehicle. Dynamat and the other one is acoustibloc I think make it for cars. There's a good bit of companies that sell/make it. Have you asked what a local audio shop would charge you for it?

Yup I just got ^^this guys leftover gallon of Spectrum+ tiles and damplifier, plus I ordered another gallon of Spectrum and spray gun, and will be ordering a roll of RAAMmat, all for my single cab tacoma. Cant wait!

Now I just need someone that can fiberglass door panels so i can add more speakers to 'em.

damn man you really wrapped the CB in that stuff lol

the main parts I think I will wrap is the doors & floor. I think I can use some kind of cotton padding off another car for the floor. but for the doors I think I wanna go with one big pad each

Are you referring to when it says "xxx mils thick" and stuff like that? If so, most places measure their stuff in mils (thousands of an inch) instead of inches or millimeters. So something that has a total thickness of 80 mils is 80/1000" or .08" or about 2mm thick. That's all.

I did a layer of Dynamat Xtreme pretty much everywhere, then I was advised to use ED deadening. Definitely not the greatest, BUT it works on flat surfaces if you really press it on tight, and it works decent as a second or third layer over other mats.
