What happened to my CD Player?!

I was listneing to my cd player and i remembered someone telling me to turn loud on to get less treble/more bass. It's playing at the normal level, and i'e played it higher before, and when I hit loud, Loud:Med displays, which is the second level and all of the sudden I hear this werid sound and my CD PLayer turns off. What happened? it won't even eject the cd. Did I blow my head unit or something? Someone please help.

check the inline fuse (usually behind the cd player) then check the under dash fuse.

and the LOUD button..i commonly refer to it as the distortion button.

Is this an easy fix, or can I take it somewhere to get it done?

I think it might be a blown fuse, becaue it's like it's not getting any power, plus my clock doesn't keep time anymore, everytime I start the car up, it starts at 1:00. Can anyone verify if this is the problem?

"loud" increase the treble and the bass by the way. Just not the mids

you blew the fuse in the car itself...under the dash drivers side should be a guide on the panel you take off, a 15 amp fuse i believe.

i had a problem similiar to this 3 weeks ago, when i'd turn my cd player up it would just cut off. I fixed it by do a ground loop only to find out that the cd player messed up 2 days later.

Ok, I looked and saw what I think are the fses. There were a bunch of rectangular boxes plugged into something, with 7.5,10,15, and 20 on them. One of them is missing, but Im not sure which one is the one that will fix my problem because there wa sno panel to take off, so there was no guide. Can anyone verify the position of this one? And do I just pull them out? Thanks.
