best way to wire Type R subs to Rockford P6002

so i have 2 Alpine Type R subs and they are dual 2 ohm subs

the amp is a Rockford Fosgate P6002 and the specs on that are

    continuous power 150W x 2 @ 4-Ohms RMS
    300W x 2 @ 2-Ohms RMS
    600W x 1 @ 4-Ohms bridged RMS

so i know i can series wire each sub and run 4 ohms to each channel on the amp

but i want to push as much power from the amp as i can and the only other way i thought to wire it was parallel wire each sub so they are 1 ohm each then series wire them so in the end it will be 2 ohms but that wont work because the amp says 600W x 1 @ 4 ohms

so can i get some advice?

yer kinda stuck but on the right track, the best thing to do is to drop out one of the subs. just run one sub in series @ 4 ohms and bridge the amp (make sure you tune it so as to not overdrive the amp into distortion). you wont gain a whole lot by trying to use both subs but at half power. 2) 100 watt subs is the same as 1) 200 watt sub as far as audible output goes (all things being equal).

thats a good idea but i dont feel like building a new box, that would save some room tho
