    Alpine 9886 Reviews

Well i am looking around for a new H/U and well since i remember ive been using pioneer everything! PIONEER FTW!!!! But i have come across a alpine 9886 and actually sound pretty good. I would like for anybody who has this H/U to give there point of view what they dislike or like. Its better to ask real people(CB7 TUNER) than to ask at the Alpine Outlet.

I personally LOVE my Alpine. I have the 9883 and I love it. It hooks up (and Alpine has a license for the Apple IPod software) so it functions perfectly. It's never given me trouble. Definitely worth the $$$.

considering pioneer includes alot of media playability, its real hard to go back to alpine and pay for all those things that the pioneer gives and sounds just as good.

Alpine, along with Eclipse, is the choice of many audiophiles due to the useful parametric EQ/adjustability and clean signal. Not everybody takes advantage of these features though.

I have a Panasonic HU, works perfectly fine with an iPod and IMO has better navigation than the Pioneer HUs I've played with. Although, I prefer the Alpine HUs over all of them but $$$ is an issue for me.

negative: 9886 does not charge the ipod Itouch. Other than that I like it. It is in my sons solara. I have an older alpine about 6 years can't beat it, other than price.
