    Shaved antenna solution

Those looking for a hidden antenna.. well a low profile one, I have found one that seems to work great. It is one that I got from discount auto. You can get them from any regular auto store, it was 20 bucks. It mounts to glass and doesnt look too shabby. It requires a 12volt power to amplify the signal and works great. I couldnt get local stations before, and now i get stations from 2 hours away w/o static. It is model AT-UA200. I will have pics when i get time to really install it. Just wanted to let you guys know that it does work though.

Heres actually a pic of what it looks like. Im sure they are the same thing, just different brand.

Yeah, thats the one i got... same exact thing. What did you mount the ground wire to? Did you lengthen it and ground it somewhere or is there something to ground it to up there?

I soldered wire to it to lengthen it, and its grounded in the trunk with the rest of the wires to the stock antenna

Same as mine too, but I put mine on the windsheild, so its not visible due to the tinted strip on top.

mines not visible, because of the 5% tint on my back window, and mine is higher up, on the top of the window

I paid about $18 at a auto parts store. The reception is pretty good, but not as good as the factory antenna. I wouldnt suggest it unless your factory antenna craps out, if it does then go for it.

I paid 19.99 at the auto store. I dunno how you say it isnt as good as the stock one. The only car that gets the radio stations that i can get is my dads 97 accord w/the antenna in the back window. Definately is good... it doesnt change anything though until you hook up the 12v power to it. Then it comes ALIVE!

hmm how is it hooking it up? Easy? My antenna won't go up anymore..and it gets like 1 station..so i guess its dead?

mine was also $19.99. Hooking it up is easy, Power (to turn on with radio) ground, and the antenna wire that hooks into the trunk location.

Mine is Meira AutoWorks. It is the generic brand that they have at autozone... I guarantee mostly all of them are the same exact, just repackaged, cuz there is nothing on the antenna.
