    well bro,
    i dont understand it really.
I got my dash install kit from walmart....
    and its schosche.
    It installed nicely,
until i accidently broke the two clips at the top of it, so now when i do burnouts the headunit falls out lol.
But im not sure why yours sags to be honest.
It should have came with a pocket and a piece in case you didnt wanna install a pocket.

did you snap a bunch of tabs out? those universal kits tell you to remove tabs according to which application you're using the kit for. sometimes they tell you to remove tabs that actually help keep everything snug in your dash. the metra kit comes to mind here.

you could always be intuitive and figure out a way to keep everything secure. i don't think you're going to find a "correct" answer to this problem. you just have to work it out yourself.

and as for your dilemma, did you bend those tabs up and down on your head unit's sleeve? or use screws to secure it down? if not, this is probably why it keeps falling out of the dash.

sounds like he bought the kit with the spot for the eq below instead of a pocket....... used the same one, and it couldn't support the weight of the headunit. You can either rig up a brace, or get a new kit. The part number for the metra one is 99-7898, not sure what the scoshe one is, but get the one with the pocket. Any place that installs stereos should be able to help. If you have a circuit city near by, the're liquidating, or BB should have what you need too.

I snapped the tabs on the top of the headunit that i put on from the kit.

                  metra is good...

follow the directions, check twice before snapping anything.

and be carfull installing it. not hard, but u can break it if ur not gentel....

also, usaully once it's in.... it wont come back out without being broken...

My thoughts exactly... I found that sometimes if you DONT snap the tabs off, the unit fits more snug and is alot sturdier...

I have the metra kit, but I used to have the scosche kit.

The metra kit is built to bolt down where the stock radio would, behind the ash tray, using the two stock bolts from the stock radio, and the plastic piece that hangs off of the metra install kit. It has two holes, they should line up with the two in the dash.

If you're worried about it being 'shady', you could always backstrap your head unit
