whoa. quality matters in the subwoofer game first off. Bro, i'm looking at 1 12" kicker L7 myself. If i had a killer amp i'd get the Alpine Type X. JL is fine as 2 10", but get PORTED! I've done my research. Ben, hours south of denver has two 10" and bump harrrd.

yes i have actually granted it was just a w3 15. i just wasnt pleased with any of the subs ..... i have heard all of there subs but there new thin line stuff that just came out.....

im not saying jl is junk dont get it mixed im just saying its really over rated. and for the price you can get WAY better product thats all i am pointing out. my BIG beef with jl is there products are very very over priced.

so i guess we will finally agree on something, lol. If your looking for SQ please dont go with a solo-baric unless you can find an old school round one. They need to tuned so low in a ported configuration to get any good SQ that you might as well go sealed. They will get loud but at the cost of any bit of SQ IMO. look into image dynamic, jl, memphis, Fi, Re, Arsenal, and alpine for some mid level equipment for a good price like the the type R's, W3v3, etc etc etc for around the same price

I have an old setup that is still good

I bought a long time ago the PowerWedge 3-10" JL Audio subs... Those things were nasty with 1000w fed to them. I would only really suggest 1-12" and make the box to the exact recommended airspace.

I am doing 125dB with mine and it is clean clear and loud enough..
