I have a slim line dell pc that I want to hook up in my car with my dvd dash. The power supply in the pc is 300 watts I believe. What would be a good power inverter I should buy to hook this up? Should I get one that is rated for 300 watts?

Not sure on the amps I want yet. The Dell pc I have is small enough to put under the front seat and I was thinking about putting a 300 gb external hard drive under the other seat so I can just store all my music and movies on it.

I have an inverter that plugs into the Dc outlet in the car and it has a standard plug, with a switch.
I use it to charge my cell phone.
