My Cb7 CD player is fine, but in my other car, all the settings are lost once I turn the car off. I know the yellow wire is supposed to be connected to the battery but i dont think it is, would it be ok for me to run the yellow wire to a seperate battery in the floor of my back seat? A friend also told me that I could get some type of fuse wire to connect the yellow wire. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, you could run the yellow wire to a battery on the floor, why not just tap into the positive wire on the cigarette lighter, a little more stealth in my opinion -

The car 12v constant (yellow wire) is supposed to be hooked up behind the radio. You can run it directly to the batter though if you want. But there is 12v constant in the main radio harness.Originally posted by InFamouz Cb7 View Post

the yellow wire is connected, but the car is a 79 (old school i'm restoring) wiring could be different, but i dont think a constant voltage is going to the radio, but thanx for the help, i'll do the wiring to battery on the floorComment

Yes directly to battery with an inline fuse. Older cars with two shaft radios with a analog tuner w/ no clock have no need for memory. So they will not have it in the radio harness.Originally posted by InFamouz Cb7 View PostComment
