    Stock Radio

    hey wats up guys so here is the deal im planning to put my nusic system in my car (nothing crazy) but i want to do it with my stock radio,now i asked a co-worker if i put the amp,new speaker will it burn the radio or it would keep working fine and i wont have a problem he told me to get a converter for the stock radio so we can get the power for the amp so i went n got it,...now my question is,me adding the amp and more powerfull speakers to the factory radio wat effect would i have?? can i even use the factory radio to do that,i really dont want to take off the factory radio i need some help here thanks in advance,

    Yeah, you can use it. It won't hurt your stock radio. BUT, to do it, you'd need to get a line out converter, it converts speaker wire to rca, OR, if you can find an amplifier with a high input plug, that also uses speaker wire as the input signal. And if I'm not mistaken, the high input option has more voltage than rca's

      It can be done. But if you're looking for sound quality it would be best to use an aftermarket stereo.

      My buddy had a mustang with a sound system and it wasn't bad, but then he installed a new radio and the change was noticeable

        thank you guyz well im not looking for nothing crazy i just want it to sound go0d,as for the corverter i have it,prolly would do it tomorrow or sometime this weeked thanks again!!

          You can also buy a OEM signal processor like the Jl cleansweep or Rockord fosgate 3sixty.2 or Audiocontrol EQL which integrates with your factory radio can give you aftermarket sound while using the factory radio
