1st one looks cool, but the 2nd one is more sleak.

      I like #2.

i like the looks of #2, BUT im more worried about the better reception. you can get an "FM booster" and a "noise filter". ill call crutchfield later tomorrow. theyre real helpful. thats pretty much the only place i shop for my ICE

I have one of the #2 on my EF hatch project, from the previous owner. It does not work very well. I have already ordered a new factory antenna for it.

#2 is sleek, but I'd be worried about reception.

I wish I had seen this when I needed a new antenna.
                I have the PepBoys antenna.
                I hate it.

When i bought mine, the motor worked, but for some reason the antenna didnt go up and down. I dont think i removed anything, i just unplugged it left in there. I then picked an O'Reilly's "Black Stubby". I like, but id like to see what i can do with the original.

My only thing with the OEM antennas is the height. I dont want an antenna that extends 108" up from the back of my car, i just want like 24-36".
