It's just the mounting pods on the rear deck.

Some models where 6.5, some were 6x9.

It's a DX/LX v EX/SE thing and model year.... blah blah blah I never remember which is which.

You can take the 6x9 pods out of another car and drop them into your car, wrecking yards are good places for these.

        I would highly recomend it.

btw, Bazooka RS-525 are awesome 5 1/4 speakers.

Infinity Kappas, MB Quarts are great but a little pricey

CDT, Crystal Mobilesound (if you can find em)

Pioneers are also a good bang for your buck

personally if money is a problem i'd recommend kenwoods they are very efficient, and drop pretty low if you aren't gonna hook up any subs, btw my car is a 93se and my friend has a 92 ex both of which have 6x9 in the rear decks

I've got MB Quart 6 1/2's in my car. They are a little bit too big for the actual plastic pieces so i had to do a little bit of cutting and drilling of the plastic pieces. If you're up for doing something like that, it's easy to put a 6X9 in.

Infinity makes a bad ass speaker for the price.. Pioneer's are not all that great, i'd go sony speakers before i'd go pionner. Boston's are really nice too if you've got a sub. MBQuart's the way to go.

i bought a set of Pioneer TS-A1670R's off of ebay. They're 3 way 180w and they sound pretty good to me, but I'm not a crazy ass audiophile. I think im going to put em in the fronts and get the TS-A1680S's 220w 4-ways and switch em to the back.

Oh yeah, I don't have a sub and the bass is good enough for me.
