Oh yeah, I don't have a sub and the bass is good enough for me.
Don't switch them! I have the same setup with 2 kenwood 12" subs in the trunk, and it rocks. I tried it with the 4-ways in the back, and the crisp treble wasn't there like it was with them in the front.

Pioneer makes a good speaker if you haven't got the budget for the more expensive brands.

I have 6.5 Kenwoods in and they sound really good. each one handles 150watts. Nothing too extreme, but enough for a good sound.

best speakers in my opinion are

Focal K2Power series in a 2 woofer one tweeter setup.
actually better then Utopias in sound quality and cost a lot less.

second best i would say the Diamond Audio Hex series.

as for subwoofers i havent heard anything sound as good and as loud as a nice setup of Diamond TDX's. Eclipse titanium and Rockford Power series T2 came pretty close but quality wasnt there.

for people on a budget--- a good pair of PowerBase Extremes a lot better sounding then pioneers and kenwoods BEST SOUND FOR THE BUCK!!!

You can take the 6x9 pods out of another car and drop them into your car, wrecking yards are good places for these.

            I would highly recomend it.

btw, Bazooka RS-525 are awesome 5 1/4 speakers.

so do the 6x9 pods come from a EX/SE model? i might go check out a yard soon and pick them up if so.. and maybe even a set of alloys to replace my damn steelies/hubcaps

              EX's come with 6x9's

and becareful with what speakers you wanna put in there, if the magnet is to big they arent going to fit because of the trunk bars and if you take the bars out the trunk becomes heavier to open and will slam down unexpectadly.

i currently have two 12 inch panasonic subs in the trunk, and an alpine hu. the problem i have is that the subs rock the trunk, but my front speakers sound scratchy when i put the volume up high, and they have ZERO bass. i don't necessarily want subs in the front, but i want something that will put out some bass and which doesn't sound scratchy. are kappa perfects a good route to go? anyone have any ideas?

The old Kappa green cone design was Infiniti's best
the perfects are overpriced and over rated and the kappas became Krappas

                          ^^this man knows his stuff

Rainbow seperates (from what I hear) are almost godly in sound...but their price pretty much put them out of most people's reach.

I got JL 6.5 in the front and Infinity coax's in the back
shit kicks SO hard that the bass is on negative on my HU so the music is balanced. Cant go wrong with JL/Infinity.

I've got jl audio 6.5 components (front and rear), with 2 13w6 subs in the trunk. I'll never use another brand.

in my old LX it had 6.5" in the front and rear. I suggest audiobahns in the back. Those gave out a good amount of bass w/o a sub or amp hooked up. BTW, my LX has 6.5" in the front and rear as well. Anyone figured out yet which years/models/whatever had the diff. speaker size?
