    Amp knobs?

I have a question, on amps that have a bass remote knob to mount on the dash or wherever up front... Is it the amp that makes a difference or is it the knob it self (explain below)

On my first system I had some cheap BOSS amp and when you turn the knob it wouldn't really make a difference unless you turned it alllll the way down then it would get a little quieter. However, when I got my Kicker amp the knob was very precise and would make a difference with every movement. I sold that amp with the car though

My friend has my old BOSS amp and was wondering if he bought a kicker knob if it would work better and it sounds like a legitimate question to me lol.

    Help would be GREAT!

It wouldn't its only a variable potentiometer and how the amp interprets it is the issue.

X2 and the Kicker remote probably won't work with the BOSS amp. Stay away from BOSS and the other cheap equipment. Save a few more bucks and buy better, you'll be much happier with better equipment.

Yeah I know, I'd never go back to cheap stuff again. Its been like 2 years since I had that cheap boss amp. I do miss my kicker amp though. I might invest in one for the new car
