    Dead Gauges

Okay, so I'm driving to my girlffriend's house last night, I round a corner and I downshift to fourth. I press in the clutch, the revs drop, as expected, but when let off the clutch, my rpms drop to zero, as does my speedometer. The lights still work on my gauges, but my clock is dead, and my seatbelt won't move. What the hell is going on?

BTW, I've been having problems with my battery, it has a very low charge, but I don't see how that would affect things like this.
Please help me, I hate electronics!

If it is a fuse, what could it be? Is there a "seatbelt, clock, gauges" fuse I can check?

        Ok...

In the under dash fuse box...

Fuse 1 goes to the gauge and warning lights, clock and turn signal indicators.

However, if that went, your motor wouldn't have died.

Your ignition switch may have gone. You can test it by removing the steering column cover, and jumping two terminals.

Left hand side, back end of the switch, jump two solder connections, the white wire and black with yellow. Position two.

Position two goes to the main relay, ignition coil, gauge package, sunroof, power mirrors, etc.

Problem solved, it was the turn signal fuse, which I never would have guess. You'd think there would be a better way to indicate a dead fuse than shutting off everything on your gauges! Thanks for the help.
