2 finds thats got me stumped (@__@)

I need your help people, today I did a dash swap. I stuck the SE dash in my wagon, & my wagon dash in my SE. but while I was swaping dashes I found 2 odd things that I need your help with.

1st odd finding was this in my wagon...

its two black boxes. the one Im holding was right behind the glove box. it was strapped to the dash support beam with zip-ties. it also had two cables coming from it. one cable went to what seems like its power source (a wire on the CB9s dash harness). another wire went to the other black box. that 2nd black box was screwed onto the dashes side support plate by one screw. which was also holding a ground wire that was coming out of that same black box. ontop the 2nd black box there was also this thick cable. it has the same kind of connection the AV wires that your house tv might have. that thick cable goes behind the carpet & onwards to the back of the car. I dont think this is OEM by the ways it was installed. also my cb9 did have an alarm at one point. & Ive already removed on weird black box from under the drivers side of the dash. could this be another part of the old aftermarket alarm my car had?

2nd odd find was in the SE

I found that odd round connection while removing the dash out of my SE. Ive never seen it before. & my wagon doesnt have it. it looks OEM cuz of the way it was set up. one side of the connection goes into the dashes harness (see 2nd pic). the other side goes behind the fuse panel (see 1st pic). & now that I have the SE dash in my wagon I have this left over cable. & I also noticed that none of my speakers work. but the radio does turn on. & it does locate stations. but no sounds comes out the speakers. could the 2 be realted?

The round connector looks like it may be for a CD changer, or something related... Thats my guess

thats an old school lojack, probably from early 90s when the car was new. the taped up thing should be a back up battery which is most likely dead by now.

Its not a band expander is it (the silver box)?
Can you unplug the thick cable going into it and take a pic of the plug

Edit: googled the # IDILJU-01 and found Its made by LoJack, and its a stolen vehicle recovery system
          Be careful taking it out

I think the 2ns find is a cd changes cable/plug. My car had one those and it had a tag that said something like that on it.

Weird part is that i have and LX, and im prettty sure that at not point was there a cd changer in my car

yup i work there (unfortuanatly) the lju stands for lo jack unit and is the same on the new ones. from the serial number it looks like it was made in 93. the thick wire is the antenna, i would definatly leave everything in there, even if the back up battery is dead the units rarely go defective.
the 2nd find i agree looks like a cd changer but maybe its for the factory amp since your speakers dont work

evil_demon_01=it looks just like one of those AV ports behind most modern TVs. its a simple put in/out plug. theres no threads to it. also it goes on towards the back of the car. to what, I dont know.

JohnD1079=well I just remembered that the SE had a 6 disk changer before. but would having this cable disconnected affect my radio? cuz it doesnt make any sound.

no just connect it back up, its just power and ground. what do you mean what does the antenna look like? its right there, coaxial cable looking, around 4 feet long, ends in a little square with double sided tape

Honestly I'm not sure - we don't get the wagon or SE over here.
But I don't see why they would be different
