i put this amp in last night with a 12" sub and it sounded good for like an hour and cut off so i pulled over and folded down my backseat and the amp was very hot!!!! so i went home let it cool down powercycled it and hooked everything back up and still no bass im new at this audio thing so any help would be appreciated

What make/model amp is it? Some amps don't have overheating protection, which means they just get hotter and hotter untill they burn themselves out.

just because u have power doesnt mean the amp is still good...... the output side of the amp could be toast.....Members Ride sold...
