    Road line paint on car!

Alright, we own a 2001 Honda Odyssey EX. Anyhow, my mom drove over the middle yellow line and it was apparently wet. So she got paint in the wheel wells on the driver side of the car only. I just underflushed the car by hand and tried to get the stuff off, I wouldn't budge. I even dabbed some soap & let it soak on there...nothing.

So what product will remove this yellow road line paint from plastic and some of it got on the body's undermolding and rear bumper cover....AND not destroy the body of the car....I don't car too much on the wheel well splashguard material...just as long as it's gone.

Thanks. Be specific on what brand, etc if you can please.

City may be responsible. I had a friend that the same thing happened to and they paid to get the car repainted. That stuff stays on like glue. I'd say Aircraft paint remover would do it, but the fender liner is plastic and it would probably damage it.

That's some pretty wicked stuff. We never got the yellow of my friends CRX.

AAAAAAAAAAH!! Don't tell me that....and that Aircraft paint remover stuff sounds too strong and I'd be crossing my fingers for no damage....

I'm gonna do it trial and error & test on small areas. I'm gonna try different cleaners...I'll post back if I find something that works aight.

werd... be sure to test. you could alwasy try paint remover.. acetone or lacquer thinner. they'll all attack the paint..

i'd contact the city, make them replace the liner. was it marked? if not, then it's thier fault.

Werd, the clay bar did help on the body panels, it just took forever. However, I took a green scrub pad lightly with ALOT of that Mother's Showtime detail spray (lubricant for clay bar) and got the large chunks off with minimal damage to body panels, then I got the lil stuff off with the clay bar. It worked nice. Also, the guy that had the car before us had some stickers and it left behind the sticky stuff when I peeled them off, that came off with the clay bar, followed by the paint cleaner & a lil elbow grease.

I managed to take the roadline paint off body panels, however I left and haven't dealt with the wheelwell paint cuz of time restriction.

yea it don't...but i put a crap load of that showtime lubricant , then i lightly took the green scrub pad and filed down the high spots of the road paint cuz it was caked on there like bumps...then when it was close to the level of the body panel, I sat there ....literally and at times laid down on my side...and did the clay bar routine til it all came off....what a biaaatch..after I got that off body panels i was like..HELL NO I'm not getting it off the wheelwheel inner covers!! I'll let it be for now til I feel like kickin my ass again.....man , my shoulders were sore and upper back... and I'm not that outta shape either...bleh but 11 hrs and 15 min will do ya no matta what

                    use gasoline.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

u can use gas just dillute a bit and rub then wax over.

but thre wheel wall just buy some under body coating paint.

its thick and black and will just coat under ur wheel wall.
