Recently I've decided to start cleaning the accord up. Not just wash and wax though, I'm going Type G on this thing. Yesterday, I started on the wheel wells, which I knew would be pretty dirty. However, I never imagined there was that much grime down there. These pics are after a solid 20 min. of cleaning. When I started there was probably a 2cm thick layer of road grime on the wheel well. After spraying down with some Simple Green and letting it sit for a few minutes, I wiped with a cheap old shirt (I'm sure a brush would have helped in this step). I did this about procedure abut 5 times, and there is still grime down there. Word to the wise if you decide to tackle this, wear clothes you don't care about. This grime gets everywhere.
You can see, I only hit a portion of the wheel well..........................................^^ That's where I stopped
And what's left of the shirt used to scrub the well down. FYI, this was only for a quater of a single wheel well I'm gonna need some more old shirts.
