    removing paint oxidation

I left my car out in the sun for a few hours.. came back and had bird shit hardended to my roof.. lots of it.. everywhere.. washed my car immediately, but the acid ate the clearcoat and left hazy spots everywhere.. any recommendations besides the obvious before I turn to wet sanding? thanks in advance!

as you already know, you're going to have to use abrasives to correct the defects in your paint.

i'd try the least aggressive method first, which is use a polish with an orbital buffer.

use a cutting pad followed by a polishing pad. good luck. later.
