Recently repainted my front bumper and will be buffing/polishing the finish shortly. Are there any buffing/polishing attachments or accessories that i can use with a drill? Also, I plan on using 3M polishing hand glaze but any other specific polish *experienced detailers/bodywork members* can recommend? Thanks.

after sanding, i would use mother's power polish with a porter cable random orbital buffer. you should use a cutting pad at first followed by a polishing pad. then apply 3 coats of sealer and glaze by hand, then pure carnunba wax. this will give you the ultimate wet look.

i wouldn't use a drill for buffing paint because you probably wouldn't have as much control and it would be hard to get uniform results. later.

as always, thanks Brian. being that i followed the advice you gave me on the headlights, i'll do the same for the bumper as well.
i'm contemplating on sanding the paint off, grind down the glue, and refinish the fiberglass as well. got some great tips from adam(rebels) and considering i didn't really have a hard time painting the bumper, at least i can clean it up and keep it looking fresh. hey, maybe i can contribute a DIY for once

ok so im in the same situation but im doing my whole car cuz we just painted it. after i finish buffing with the power polish i can just go straight to the sealer by hand with no wait/dry time? how do you know how much polish/sealer to use, im new to body work if you cant tell lol.
also is the cutting pad the blue one and polishing is the cotton one? i have a waxer but it looks exactly like this http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS...4+3966&pos=n24 so i think it will work.

yes, once you wipe off the polish you can go straight to the sealer and glaze. also, you don't have to put on 3 coats if you want to save time, but the more layers of sealer and glaze you use the wetter the paint will look. however, it's unlikey you will see much of a difference after a 3rd coat. don't forget to put on the wax after to protect.

pour carefully and sparingly as you initially load a clean applicator pad; start your machine slowly to prevent slinging.

i couldn't say which color would be what pad. i have found they change from manufacturer to manufacturer.
