Just wondering how long it takes you to clay bar your car? Takes me about 2-3 hours.

Noooo, just wondering how long people spend doing it. You can never move fast when it comes to detailing.
Plus, this could help people get an idea how long it should take.

ha okay. Whatever floats your boat. Trust me, the clay bar brought my old 93 paint job back to looking new. Something the wax couldn't do.

There's stuff in the paint that wax can't get out and that's what a clay bar is for.

took me like 1.5-2 hours to finish mine, left the paint nice and smooth. Time depends on the condition of the paint

Very true. It took me about 7 hours on my old 93 dx. < It needed it bad!

okay, on a more serious note - claying the car is like any other part of the detailing process, it all depends on the condition of the vehicle. i'll detail my car every month or so because i'm just trying out new products... so the paint stays in pretty good condition. around spring i'll do an overhaul detail, and claying usually takes 45 minutes at the max. cars on average will take an hour and a half, but i've spent upwards of 5-6 hours on cars that were better off at the bottom of a river.

when i do mine, i wash, dry, clay, pre-wax cleaner, sealer and glase,and pure carnuba wax.
it takes me about 25hrs everytime i do it. later.

Takes me about 2 hours to clay bar my whole car. I agree it brings back the paint since i had a bad layer of overspray the claybar took it right off. Now all i need to do is find where i can just get the bar and im set.
