    Pin stripe removal

Damn. So far I'm like 3 hours into it and I've only removed about 2/3 of the car.
Using a plastic scraper and a heat gun.
Then I wetsand the leftover stripe.
Buff with some 105 and orange pad.
Then one coat of collinite 845.

The difference is great. But this is a long process. Hopefully I'll finish tomorrow and post a pic or two.

Anybody have a better method for removal.

I don't know how you got them off with a pressure washer.

I used a heat gun and had to go to a metal scraper. Overall it looks better you can still see where they were. They have been there for about 10 years maybe 12.

here are some pics during the process today. Remember the paint is old. Its all I can do to make it look good.

      Wetsand

      Buffed and waxed.

Buffer is Harbor Freight DA. Meguiars 205 and collinite 845

I forgot I did use the goo gone to remove the left over adhesive. But basically the same process.

This. Basically a giant round eraser.

They used to be $28 at NAPA years ago. They have shot up in price since then. $38 at NAPA $45 at O'Reilly's

Takes only moments to remove a pinstripe, or any decal/sticker/residue.
