    Collinite 845 wax

I don't know if anybody has used this wax before but it is great. Just don't put it on too heavy.

Made in USA and its cheap. $15.

So far I've put two coats on my car and one on my wheels it looks great. It seems to repel dirt more than the meguiars #26 I was using.

They say this stuff lasts about 5-6 months.

Anyway just thought I would put this out there for everybody to see.
    Time will tell.

Its a plus, for me too, it liquid so easy to apply, compared to paste, which is hard in the cold

Use it on accord and at work

I'll have to give it a shot. Right now, I've just been using Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax spray wax. Not a "real" wax, but easy to apply and remove.
I need to invest in power tools!

How difficult is this stuff to remove?

I've been using Collinite 845 for about 3 years as my winter wax. It's quite durable and leaves a better than expected shine and has done a good job of keeping junk off the car in the winter.

I typically use the 845 in the winter and then S100 in the summer.

Can you get this stuff at like auto zone? I've never heard of it. I used to detail at a shop and we either used blue coral or meguiar's.

Autozone doesn't carry it, but Advance Auto does, if you have them out there.

Thanks for that link didn't think to look for something like that on their web site. But it looks like that brand is non existant where I'm at except for what I think is a detail shop in sacramento. Sucks for me

You could always order it online.

Have you tried the collinite 915?

Everything I read said it was an excellent winter wax. But to me the shine looks good too.

I apply it with a microfiber pad. let it haze and then remove with my Harbor freight polisher and Lake country black, blue or red.
The wheels I did turned out pretty good compared to where I started.

I haven't had any experience with the 915. I'll have to look into it.

I typically don't use a machine for wax. I do use my PC 7424 for polishing. I just don't have a garage, so I can never get my car better than 80%, it's annoying. If I pull the swirls, I end up with minor hologramming. It's a function of awful quality OEM paint, and a less than professional detailer using it.
