its gotta be a paste though. & this will be for the mint wagon paint & the coupes old ass paint.

i have got to be honest with you, i have always favored the " 3M Performance Finish " . its in a black bottle ... if you have not tried it ,check into it .

the work you put into the car wash before the wax is the important part i believe

I wash with meguiars soap, dry, clay bar every 2 months, and then wax. once in a while I used to use a rubbing compound to get all the fine lines off, but it got really tedious so now I dont and have a shitload of little fine scratches..

the wax isnt all the same, but for me i use meguiars and that shit works miracles..i used to use turtle wax paste, but didnt really like it..

          Rush

I use mothers 3 step on all of my cars. Step 1 is a pre wax cleaner, step 2 is a sealer/glaze, and step 3 is a PURE Carnauba paste wax. It works awesome, and lasts a long time. The shine is amazing.

x2 Started using this at least 10 years ago and have never looked back. IMO the pure carnauba wax is they shyte. May take a bit more work but in the end it's worth it.

Honestly speaking if you get a good brand name carnauba paste wax you'll be fine IF you do proper polishing, buffing if needed then wax.
Always wax after a nice wash and chamois dry, you don't want to wax with dust on your paint.

Personally I try out whatever is the new shit or if something is on sale I'll grab it, but I not going to by some random flea market wax must be a good name.

awesome. thanks for the reviews. I guess Ill go with a brand name multi-stage wax product. Ill let you guys know soon what I get.

but as for clay bar, I dont like using it more than once a year on the wagon. cuz it is very abrasive compared to wax after all, but on the coupes faded paint, I dont care how many times lol. the paint on it has no clear coat, so its a sponge for dirt

i second this, it takes a while but damn it looks good when its done. i break up the wax into chunks so i can rub it on my 6" orbital buffer and it works really well.
