Hahahaha! You could re-read before you post or use the "preview post" button. j/k But if you can't feel the scratch then you can use a polishing compound and a polisher to take the scratch out. There's no need to sand if you can't feel the scratch. It just takes a lot of patience.

It's all good. At least the damage is an easy fix at a low cost. Plus you can go ahead and polish up the rest of the car if you really love it. But nah, a friend of mine had his car keyed up a few years back and it looked like they used a flat head screwdriver because the scratches went deep through the paint and into the metal. It sucked bad.

It might be a little aggressive to start off with a compound. Usually clay alone will get rid of light key marks, though it would be good to follow up with a lightly abrasive polish. The main thing, is that in your case, it should be very easy to clear up, so no worries.

if u can feel it and cant scratch it off it may be too late...

if not you can use a compound and not a clay bar, clay bar isnt too agressive especially for the scratches, then after polish up...

also you can use mequiars scratch x cause that is a compound as well.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Clay bar does work and I say this from experience. Compound is often times a more agressive option than needed... and requires plenty of passes with an orbital to remove (one reason why I want to buy a rotary to make quick work of such a job). Since dynamic already said he couldn't feel the key marks I suggested clay or a light polish. Always start off with the least agressive option.

point taken but you can use a polish swirl remover for those light scratches and it will be perfect. claybar wont get out what a swirl remover will...

mine was keyed, and i finished it off. Then the adjuster said it was totalled because there was to much damage, so i had to buy the car back and paint it with the money they gave me...
