Hey guys, just wanted to inform those on the board that don't know about Zaino. It's a professional polish that is only sold thru mail order or thru local sales reps. I was a Mequiar's addict since that's what I could get at the local auto shop. However after rearding about Zaino over on the various Corvette and F-bod forums I finally decided to try it for the first time on my Hawk, then the Civic (pics in sig are pre-zaino).
Here's their site where you can read up more and look at more pics. I'd recommend the starter kit that they've recently made available. http://www.zainostore.com/
I guess I should put a desclaimer in here. I'm no detailing professional. Feel free to ask me any questions though and I'll try to help out. I'm not on expert on anything, just what I've learned from first hand experience in detailing 5 cars over the past 9 years.
On to the BMW:
This is an example of a poor Hellrot M3 that hasn't been garaged since '99. 90,000 miles on the clock and was showing major, major signs of oxidation. My friend would power wash it, but never hand wash it. So what would any right minded Zaino freak do eh? That's right, Dawn, clay, Z7, then Z5
The Camera really hid most of the imprefections. However you can definately tell on the last two close up shots. Pics don't do it justice. We never realized just how 'pink' the paint had gotten because of the oxizidation. The clay bar did an amazing job of cleaning up the clear coat:
