I would read the bottle. I do know that Magyars clay bar requires you to clean the car, then use the instant detail spray as lube if you will, then run the clay over it. Im not sure about the ICE stuff though.

Dry it off. You have to spary the detailer on it as you go. This is how I did it

You could do it either way, my last boss insisted I clay the car while it was still wet. I rather dry the car off and then clay it, water doesn't lubricate.

I would clean the car to the best of my ability of any dirt that may do further damage. Water will lubricate, just not as well as the formula that the claybar will come with. It wont hurt if the car is wet, it will actually help you if you forget or miss a spot with the lubrication.

Liquid claybar should only be used while the car is still wet.
AND it needs to be cool. other wise there will be streaking...

i don't get how a liquid clay bar works.

i'll stick with my abrasive putty. later.

Spray on waxes and liquid clay bars both work. The clay bar is a liquid with a higher amount of friction. Think about how brake fluid feels when you rub it between your fingers.

The paste wax and actual clay bars are way better though, I agree.

if its anything like meguiars cleaner wax it does wonders. It depends on the condition of your paint and time/patience because a cleaner wax will cover more area faster.

Depending on how much time you want to invest... You could actually use the clay bar while washing the car... Whenever I do full details at work, i cut down on time by using the bar while I wash... do a section at a time; but with the soap as a lubricant, you can make for easy application to clear out all the rail dust, imperfections, sap, and other dirt that sticks to your paint when washing... Doing the clay bar process definitely helps in fantastic results when you wax... makes the surface feel brand new...

I don't either. It KIND OF works. I've used both now. I still prefer actual clay. Works MUCH better.
