you should follow the manufacture's recommendations.

there are two types of carbon fiber finishes, those that have a clear coat and those that have a gel coat. the gel coat looks good for a while and then fades to a cloudy mess.

either way, i would use cleaner wax on both types of finishes every 2 months along with a claybar at least once per year. later.

fading and yellowing is caused by semi poor quality epoxy changing colors due to UV light exposure. if you use a wax find one that has good uv protection and it will help prolong it.

i also heard that heat from your header or manifold heats the carbon fiber hooods and destroys the clear/gel coat. thats why they say too wrap it or keep your heat shield on. i caould be wrong but it makes sense.

eh ive had my hood for a little over a year now, no problem with that...its just my trunk thats starting to fade on the edges a tiny tiny bit...
