Are your headlights hazey?

I have a 98 Integra GSR, and since i bought it the headlights have been yellow, you could feel how cloudy they were. Today i bought a 3M headlight restoration kit.....its basically an attchment wheel that go's on a 1,600 rpm drill, with 3 different grits of sanding pads, and a final buffing/polishing compound liquid, and a pad. i am amazed at how well the kit works, and the pics i have to share do no justice. today i ONLY did the drivers side of the DC2 the passenger side will follow tommorrow (when battery is charged). total time took about 25 mins. all you need is the kit ($17), a spray bottle with clean water, and microfiber cloth, and a drill.Remember the pics do not show how good this kit works. And having 6000k HID'S, man what a difference with the clean lenses.Dont mind the rest of the car.....has not been washed in a little bit!

those are not chips on the hood, its spatter from the drill throwing the polishing compound around.

man i bought the kit thinking its another gimic....nothing ever seems to work as described......but this kit works great. did you also use the 3M kit? and to keep up on it ill use Mothers plastic polish every few months.

Edit: They look really good. Our kit didn't have any drill attachment and they still came out really nice. These kits are good as long as your willing to put the time and energy in.

yea i am pissed i waited so damn long, i just never thought something like this would work. during the process i thought i ruined my headlights becuase they became scratched to shit, but as you go through the stages this kit works very well. and yea all it takes is time, the drill does all the work.

i dont know if those kits work on glass headlights though....
3M machine glaze with a rag also works good on plastic headlights.

its worth a try, even on glass, the sanding pads are so fine. im doing my tailights this weekend.

yeah i was thinkin about just takin 2000 grit sandpaper and wetsanding the shit out of them.
