Turtle Wax ICE Synthetic Polish? yey or ney?

I bought this new ICE polish in place of my Eagle 1 Nanowax b/c I got tired of cleaning the white residue off my car in those tight places. So how does this ICE polish compare to a wax? Does it offer the same protection for the paint? I mean is it like a wax or something totally different?

I picked some up this weekend, and wasn't to impressed.

it's very easy to apply, required little to no elbow grease. but it didnt have that wax shine.

dont get me wrong, it's not crap, but it's not a good wax alternative.

If ur paint is still in showroom condition then maybe u can benefit from this product.

if u have a 16 yr old paint job like me, then u'll be happier with the result of a couple of good coats of wax.

typeg talked about them a while back, said they were decent, but still no real match for good old fashioned elbow grease and a quality carnuba wax

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

yeah I noticed the paint doesn't feel as "slippery" after an application of the ICE vs an application of the Nanowax I had. But its SO easy to remove though w/ no residue. There isn't any wax on the market that leaves no residue is there? I havn't bought wax in about 6 months since the Nanowax I had lasted so long.

I use it as a "every wash" shine. Ill wax once every couple months and do this in between and it dosnt last long. But ya live everyone says it wont replace your wax.

Residue on the trim? There are waxes that don't leave stains on the trim, but they aren't cheap. Pinnacle Souveran is one that comes to mind, but it cost about $85+ shipping a jar now.

I used that ICE on my civic. it left it shiny as hell. & I liked how I could us it on the trim. but I havent tried it on a CB. for the CB I just use mothers wax w/ clay bar. the mothers kit I bought was like $15

well you "should" wash your car with dawn soap twice a year. usually after a dial soap bath you claybar the car and then do a basic wash. after that you can do the 3 Mothers steps or you can use what i always liked to use on my sentra, platinum turtle Wax. It was up there with zymol but cheaper and left a better shine. that or you can go all out and buy Zaino. But admit, i havent waxed the cb ever and rarely wash it LOL. shameful i know

ICE is amazing on my teggy.. but it's not wax wax.. although it's great stuff..
it makes your car shiny, and if you still have black trim on the sides/around the windows, it makes them blacker.. makes yo cah look dope.

it's a synthetic wax that isn't very durable. later.

They package it up all nice for you when you buy it. Here is a picture of one of my jars; I have the older version, but the newer one has nicer packaging.

I think almost all the waxes available at a local auto parts store will stain trim. It has been a while since I've bought any detailing supplies at a normal chain store, but when I used to shop there NXT was one of my favorite waxes, but its durability wasn't good supposedly the 2.0 version is fixed for longer protection. NXT 2.0 and eagle 1 nanowax are 2 that I always hear about, but never tried personally.
