I have 2 pairs of Nissan Maxima Hids siting around and was wondering how hard it was to put them in my stock headlights i have heard i had to cut the clip and splice the wires together use silicone for them to hold in place has any one had any problems wiring them up and if so let me know if it was hard or easy

Also if any one interested i have 2004 escalde hids for sale give me an offer

what year maxima?? as far the wire connections goes, that's a piece of cake.. But, for the mounting of the bulbs, im not really sure. if the base of the bulbs is a 9006 seires then u should be alright if not some custom work might be needed.

you cannot wire up a STOCK HID bulb to work .. it must be re based.. i dont knnow what your trying to do but it sounds like your going to blow up the bulb.

...just some word of advice since you live in the nyc area. if you get pulled over and you have these maximan hids, acura cl hids, etc..your car is gonna get towed away unless you got some type of reciept or something.. my friend is a sgt/NYPD and these lights are highly stolen. they are starting to really crack down on the whole HID scene because of this.

yeah i head they are highly stolen over there, especially the maxima's HIDs. the hood is easily unlatched from the outside and and alarm does not sense the hood being opened. also the headlights come off with only a few simple bolts on top, HIDs intact. there is no need to remove the bumper. that's why they are highly stolen over there. i hope this is not the case here.

to answer your initial question, you can install the HIDs in your car. you just need to rebase the bulb to fit into the headlight housing. make the base look like the stock 9006 bulb base by filing. you can also silicon seal the bulbs on with high temp sealer, which you have mentioned. once the bulbs are mounted, the wiring is very easy. just tap the positive (+) wire of the stock harness to the positive wire of the ballast. same goes for the negative (-) wire. good luck!

You NEVER wire HID to stock harness.. NEVER! .. always run them off a wire harness.. if you dont you will cost upwards of 1,000 damage, especially since the honda wire harness runs deep into the dash, which is also what the AC and everything else runs off of the same wires.. your asking for a melted harness.

not sure i see anything to straighten out here. i just know nyc is rampant with stolen and diy hid's. i hear florida isn't too far behind them as well. i'm just glad i'm not driving around in those two glare states.

..unfortunately, that is true. but it feels good knowing autocrime(NYPD) is doing what they can to get these lowlifes off the streets and their rides too.

*props to my boy @ the 30th precint..he's gotten 10-15 cars towed away from these bitch ass punks coz of stolen hids, stolen motors, etc..*
