is it possible modify ebay projectors for a better output?

since the output sucks, cant you take out the crappy part of the headlight and put in a REAL part that actually performs better?
or maybe even swap in the parts from the OEM headlights?

Out of curiosity did you do that yourself? If you did,was taking the lens off hard? How long did that take?

From what I have read on here some people have trouble and some don't but it doesn't sound complicated just heat the lights in the oven at 225 for like 10-15 minutes with the metal retaining clips off and the gently pry the lens off

Also: just for reference (for those who haven't read his Member's Ride Thread), those headlights probably cost aww_shiet almost 2 grand when he had them done. To do something similar today would still cost at least $600-1000 in parts, plus the labor to retrofit the HID projectors to the headlight housings.

Yup. People have emulated this and a lot of the time it looks like dookie. But Omar has been the only one to do this the right way. And thats why everyone drools over his and not the others.

I would imagine that if the ebay projectors had the essentials of a normal projector "a reflective cup, cut off shield, and a good lends" then a HID kit might help but I have never taken a look that those projectors.
