Where can I find eurotails, for a coupe?

I have heard taht the regular taillamp assembly kits I have found will not work for the coupe, since it is shaped differently. Anyone know the truth to this, or where I might find a set? I was liking the ones at nopi.com..arg..

yea, you have a couple of options:

      1. keep the tails you have in their oem fashion

      2. paint the tails you have red (in other words paint the orange portion red w/ a transparent red or candy apple red paint- many fellow coupe owners have done this, including myself... look in the members ride section for pics)

      3. buy a trunk lid for a sedan, in order to use the euro clear or red/clear tails designed for the sedan

DO NOT buy a set of red/clears thinking the seller will make a distinction about coupe vs. sedan. i did this last year, and ended up with a red/clear set of taillights for a sedan. now i've got a set of red/clears in a box collecting dust underneath my bed. i'm hoping to get a trunk lid for a sedan at some point, but that takes time and money.

edit: i bought the taillights from an internet website, not an e-bayer or somebody from a board. on purchase, it asked for the model of the car, so i assumed there were lights for the coupe and separate ones for the sedan. alas, this was not the case.

          if you're willing, i'm able.

there's ones for a LOT less out there, so i haven't tried sellin' 'em. i guess i'll eventually do the trunk swap, or just keep 'em until they become a rarity and i can up the price, lol.

I own a 93 SE Coupe and have wanted to do something with the taillights, and have come up short. I have heard some things about painting them transparent red. My question is how do you get rid of the orange on the bottom of the inside of the taillight. If you paint over that wont it just shine through. Or does painting them work. Let me know what you have found out with this. I think I may do this but only if it is going to work. Thanks For Your Help!

thats so stupid that they dont make aftermarket tails for a coupe....my friend has a 92 coupe i think and he just painted the orange part kinda dark red, darker than the normal red but it looks pretty badass, not as good as red/clear would look though

What I did was paint my inside lights the same colour of the car. What I wanted to do was have the entire trunk lid flush (sorry if my description sucks), where only the rear corner lights are left (Back-up lights DIY inside)...

                    Here's what I'm talking about:

no, the orange is covered with the paint. the more coats you put on, the less the risk of it being sort of an orange/red. i think my tails have been painted now for 3 or 4 years, and i haven't had to do any sort of touchup.

i'd rather have red/clears, but alas, they (whoever that is) don't make them.

its ok if you actually shave it like that, but if you only paint the tail lights the body color it looks like ass imo.

yours appears shaved, correct me if i'm wrong.
i'm weird about my car... a lot of times i like the way something looks on someone elses car, but i couldn't imagine it on mine.

for me, the trunk looks funny w/o the inner tails. but yours looks fine to me. i'm confused:wtf: 'cause on the one hand i like it, but on the other i think it would look weird.

i think i just wrote the same thing 2 different ways, lol.

in any event, i don't think i'd shave the inner tails. i hope to get the trunk swap one day!
