tools needed for taillight replacement?

hey i'm new here and i'm about to get some euro altezza tail lights in the mail anytime now. i've already checked out the lights i have now and it looks like there are 4 nuts and whatevers on each of the 4 separate lights in the pair. What are the size of the attatchments and what possible tools might i need to remove and replace the tail lights? thanks

8 mm deep socket and a Phillips head screwdriver is all you need.

i might add some silicon to that list...you dont want them lights leakin..better safe than sorry

yeah somehow i got condinsation in my original lights right now. weird. any silicon suggestions or other recommended sealents?

Why wouldnt you just pull your tools out yourself and see what it would take. Im not trying to hammer on ya man.But it just sounds like a lazy question to me.As for the silicon, go to the parts store and get some clear sealant, I cant remember the specific name.

i don't have a big box of tools anymore because there was a fire i had a while back and i lost a lot

sorry to hear that! 8mm deep socket and a screwdriver are the trade's essentials to do this. deep socket is key but you can survive with a 8mm wrench! unless your taillight gasket is really in bad shape, you don't need the silicone sealant. it would be a good peace of mind to add some though. if the tails are new, they should come with new gaskets.

i tried to take off the tail light on the right side where the key insert is to pop the trunk and could not get it out...are the 4 nuts the only hardware i have to take off or are there additional things i have to unscrew?

yeah there should be only 4 parts to take off. it should come right off. i get my tail lights in the mail today .
