No I'm saying I don't see why you'd have 3 wires going to your bumper light in stock form????

just use 1157 socket and bulbs...have blink and stay on...save the time and hassle guys seriously its not difficult.

/\ I just don't see why he doesn't cut the wires that go to the corner lamp that already does this (using a single filament 2 wire connection) and splice it down to the bumper light itself... so you'd have your negative connected like stock on both your bumper light and your corner light, but you'd have your positive wire coming in to the corner light spliced 2 ways (1 wire going to your corner lamp and the other going to the positive on your bumper light).

I did this on my '96 with my side markers with no problem.

If you use an 1157 socket you're dealing with less brightness when it's on and full brightness when you blink.. so it loses that "fog light" look.

not sure what the heck is going on... i just tried to do this on my 92 lx. all i did was try to splice the positive on the blinker in the corner to the both the positive sides of the corner blinker bulb and the bumper bulb and they would both just cut out. they wouldnt blink or stay on at all... once i disconnected the bumper light, the corner light started working again perfectly. dont know what the heck is going on.

alright..i'm confused on this..but the best point i can make is that there can be several different ways to do something but you can use the way that works best for you...IMO

but i will be doing this mod when i re-install my amber bumper lights

that's because you're dealing with different sized bulbs with different voltages, and splicing into them and putting bigger loads on your electrical system. Splicing into your corner lights and into another wedge type bulb (for sidemarkers, for example), is fine because they draw the same amount of juice. But when you use the leads from a corner lamp and splice it into a large bumper bulb that takes up a lot more wattage, then you're either going to get tons of hyper blinking or it'll just cut out altogether. IMO you're going to have to use relays if you want it to look decent with using the stock bumper single filament socket.

hey thanks for that info fliplyricist1. do you perhaps have anymore info like a diagram, and/or the relay info/part number, etc? or maybe know where i could get it? ive heard of people using two filament bulbs, which i would be willing to do as a last resort or whatnot, but if i do this, i would really prefer to have the bumper light cut out instead of blinking brighter. you know what im sayin? thanks dude

so having the bumper lights on all the time will for sure not melt the housing? Thanks

                        alright this did NOT work:

I simply took the green wire that goes from the bumper light socket, and cut it, connected it to the corner light green wire, and nothing, the bumper light wont blink or stay on, nothing happens....i guess using 1157s is a must? im really confused

lol im pretty much a noob at electrical wiring still

                          dont feel dumb guys =P

                          i have a 91 and the bumper has 3 wires (2 green, 1 black)
what exactly do u connect.. i made the dumbest mistake, and i think its reasonable that if u splice wires, use differnet color ones, or make sure u mark which one is pos neg or ground =T lol i was messin around and i forgot which was which and accidently put neg with pos and shorted my whole left corners, not sure how to get it back on now =P any suggestion with that???

i did this mod a few months ago. It only took me 10mins to do. What i did was get two corner sockets from a civic and two 1127 bulbs. First i cut the old sockets off then wires in the civic socket. Pos to Pos and Neg to Neg then for the 3rd wire on the socket i spice it to the postive side of the corner light and that's it. Hope this helps
