if u splice the bumpers into the corners they will blink, but you have to splice them into the bulbs wire that blinks....only one blinks per corner. but yea that would work. they will stay on when you have you lights on and blink when you use your directionals......but make sure you splice the bumpers into the blinker wire.and u probably know this but make sure you wire the left bumper light to the left corner light and so on.

Your housings will melt eventually but it's nothing that hasn't been done before.

I did it on my '96 back in '01 and I'm going to do it on my CB7 too

There's a much easier way to do this.

Get a corner light socket from a 92-95 Civic. There will be 3 wires: red/black/green. Connect the black and green to the black and green of your existing light. Run the red wire up to the always on bulb in your corner light. Connect it to the positive. Then get some 1157 bulbs and you're good to go.

Won't melt your housings, works 100% right. I've had it for almost 4 years now.

You completely confused me on your explanation of how you did this. What did you splice into what?

The only ways I know of to do this is to wire the bumper light to th always on, making the bumper light not blink, use a relay to keep the 1156 bulb and have it still blink, or use 1157 sockets.

You're saying you spliced both the always on and the directional part into the bumper light?

no, i spliced the bumper light into the directional(blinker light) and that always stayed on...and it also blinked. the blinker bulbs are always on and they blink when you use your blinkers. that all i spliced into using quick connects. worked fine.

I think he's saying that on your corner lights, one of them is constant and the other is constant but also blinks when you turn your turn signal on. I'm pretty sure he's saying he spliced into the one that is constant and blinks too.

                      Only one concern:

Did the extra current draw from the 1157 bulb's dim lead cause any problems to the constant on corner light?

I don't see any dimming of the constant on corner light. The only problem I noticed was having a tough time with getting a hyperwhite bulb in 1157 that matches to the headlights, since usually the dim filament of a hyperwhite bulb is rather yellowish. However, if you're not using hyperwhite, this won't be an issue.

You should only have 2 wires on your existing wiring to your bumper light
