    My HID retrofit project #2

Alright i managed to scoop up a S2000 headlight w/ hids. I am going to be doing another retrofit to see whether i like the S2000, or the rx330 set-up better.

I already took the headlight apart and i got the projector, ballast, and bulb out.

A close up on the projector

I just hooked up the wires to make sure the everything works, and to test the cut-off

If your looking for a really unique project the 2006 Mitsu Galant have these seriously amazing HID projectors in a very very unique shape.

output and cutoff don't get much better than the s2000's

only better projectors out there are the LS430's and possibly the TL's (both of which are bixenon)

but if you're going to use them, do it the right way and buy a set of plastic oem headlights off ebay or a set of jdm's

how much did you pay for these?

Yea im planning on getting a set of jdm headlights. I got the headlight for free from my freind because he crashed his s2k, but i only got one headlight because the other one was totally destroyed. I have a connection for getting headlight real cheap, but a lot of the ones i can get are just the headlight with no bulb or ballast, so the only thing you can use from it is the projector, and i dont knoe if its worth it to buy up some headlights just to sell the projector. I would need to knoe what headlights to get that i could easily sell the projector out of.

^What he said. I was actually planning S2K projectors for my next retrofit but unless you are getting hooked up, they usually run upwards of $300+. Excellent choice on projector(s) though and I look forward to seeing how this one turns out.

dang he crashed his s2k and it's the newer models too! the s2k cutoff is simply beautiful but i think it differs greatly from the rx projector. compare the two but i would be willing to bet that you will like the s2k more.

dont waste your money, the only way you can fit the s2k projector is if you completely destroy the accord headlight. It's like fitting a square peg into a round hole. I don't want to burst your bubble, but trust me, I've tried. I've got a set of s2ks' sitting in my room collecting dust.

damn that's a great point lol I never even stopped to think about that. Yeah, it's gonna be next to near impossible to fit those s2ks, I'm not sure about the usdm housings, but the jdm one pieces: FORGET ABOUT IT. My tsx projectors just barely fit and I still had to hack away at some headlight trim.

ACCH22 you are right the s2k projectors wont fit, even with some cutting it would be a pain in the ass to make it work with them. I'm just going to use the parts to come up with something else. I am going to meet my guy today because they just got a new shipment of headlights so we'll see what i can find. I'm hoping to score some tsx projectors, they had one about 2 weeks ago and i came back last week to buy it, but it was already gone. That was my dumbass fault for not buying it in the first place, but oh well.
