    3rd break light

kay, so i was replacing a bad wiring harness in my back right tail and replaced it with an extra harness i had(non loose wiring), everything seems to be working now except my 3rd break light, the bulb looks fine(even tried a diff one). and the wiring should be all good, all the other break lights check out perfect. backup lights and signals also.

i don't suppose there is some fuse or something that would affect only the 3rd break light right?

i really like havin that thing work :P

Are you sure you're not grounding out or simply have a loose connection?

are you getting a "brake light" indicator on your intrument cluster below the "car icon" under the fuel/temp gauges? i believe a sensor in one of your taillights went bad. these are the sensors that tell you that one of the brake light bulbs are out. the 3rd brake light wiring goes through that sensor. replace it if necessary.

FYI: the sensors only sense the 4 main brake lights, NOT the 3rd brake light nor the rear parking lights.

Actually the 3rd brake light is connected to a sensor, I know this because mine was out for about six months until I finally got it fixed. Damn dynamat cut my wire.
No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.

Your best bet is to check out the wiring. Also when you take your bulb out check if the spring is on top or the washer, that causes a bad connection. You can redo your wiring with some speaker wire(thats how i did mine) And make sure to put it all back together correctly (so that the washer part is touching the bulb and the spring is under that. That should do it, but yeah I have no idea where the sensor is for that. But i mean you can do it at night to the glow of neons (or streetlights) in about an hour if it wont cooperate.

use an ohm-meter and check to see if you are getting voltage to it first..
