    XenonDepot.com .....Worth it?

    http://www.xenondepot.com/product.php?product_id=2

Hey, Anyone ever seen www.xenondepot.com before? They're based out of Toronto, I beleive. My friend has a kit from them on his RSX, and they're perfect; great visibility, super white/blue, and it's the real shit, not stupid white bulbs that do nothing but make crappy white light for 6 feet in front of your car. These lights up the road for a longgggg while ahead. Mind you his housings have stock projectors so I guess that helps too?

I'm looking into getting this conversion. Comes with Phillips ballasts and is basically plug and play with fuses and all. I realy don't feel like retrofitting projector lenses from some scrapped Maxima and cut this and attach that all butch-like, and aim the projector and all this waste of time. I don't need a projector. I noticed my dad's '03 TL-S isn't projector, uses the same system we have with our stock headlights, just reflects, so I think I'd be fine just using this kit and have nice real xenon with real visibilty.

Anyone have any suggestions or perhaps a similar product out there at a better price?

thats still pretty pricey, my local car club is $330 CDN.

That's $130 more then the kit that I bought which is 6000k. I got a TECHONE HID conversion kit, and it works great.

YES it is so worth it! I put in real HID, and i couldn't believe the difference. You have to majorly adjust your headlights up or else it will just illuminate 5 feet in front of your car. I would highly recommend this setup i bought of eBay for about $300 bucks. the guy's name is integra9006HID http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ort=3&since=-1. It is official stuff made by Koito who makes the LED assemblies for Honda Spoilers, and very plug and play. The light looks awesome and lights up the road like no other. I will try and take pictures of where I mounted the ballasts and how it looks with my cam. phone...

yeah you may not want to go through all the work with retrofiting and think you can just pop in the kit but you will be blinding oncoming traffic like no other. Your dads new car is made for them and our OEM headlights arnet so the glare will be out this world. It may be brighter to you and will be even more blinding to people coming towards you. Think twice just before you throw a kit in. Sometimes its not the best thing to do.

well...i got em and it's not terribly blinding. i think i might aim my lights downward a bit, but other than that i don't think it's too bad. i drove around a lot yesterday night, and i only had 2 cars flicker their lights at me. no one else seemed to have a problem. passed by some cops too, and on saturday nights, they're always looking for a kill. i could be wrong, but i think also that because i DIY blackedout the housing, it might give it a better cutoff and less glare. i don't really know though.

i'll probably test it tonight with my friend; drive by each other and see if he's blinded, and also have him in front of me. and i'll take it from there. if it ends up being that bad, then i'll just put in my stock bulbs back in but still leave all the HID stuff in there.....because right now i don't have a licence, and i don't want to draw attention with blinding people. i only have a month to go before i'm legal again!

also.....really, once i have my licence back, i could give a shit if i blind people. pfff how pussy are people, it's not really that bad, and it's for like a second as you pass by. i get blinded all the time. cry me a river.

its not only that you are being blinded but that the person coming towards you might wreck and could possibly hit you from not being able to see. Im just glad i dont drive anywhere around where you live.

So if I wanted, I could buy that kit, and then retrofit the projector lense to my stock housing and I'll be good to go?

at 50-60km an hour on city streets.....people don't go drifting into oncoming traffic after being blinded for a split second. if people can't handle that, they shouldn't be driving in the first place.

the reason they are so blinding is cause of how low your car sits, not the glare issue. Its simple when you sit at the same height of any headlight it will be bright. This happens with any SUV or truck if you ever take notice.
